How to make savory broth:

!Caution! Boiling liquid can cause harm when it comes into contact with skin. Be mindful of boiling water and pot handles to ensure no spills or accidents occur.

Equipment:

Stove, Metal Pot, Strainer, Bowl

Ingredients:

Cooked scrap bones (Beef, Pork, Chicken, Lamb, etc)

Instructions:

1. Place scrap bones in cooking pot but ensure they are below the halfway line.

2. Fill cooking pot with the water enough to submerge the bones entirely.

3. Place cooking pot on stove top and turn to high until water boils.

4. Reduce heat to medium so water is simmering. Simmer bones for 30 mins – 1 hour.

5. Drain water from cooking pot into bowl using a strainer to remove any bone parts.

6. Empty broth into container and place into refrigerator.

7. After the broth has cooled, the fat from the liquid will solidify on the top of the broth.

8. Using a spoon, lightly scrape away the fat layer and discard.

9. Use the broth for any soups or stews, Enjoy!
